Seriously Unserious

I take an objection to being down,
An obligation to being sad
I conceal my happiness from its strippers waiting to plunder it.
Yet she says am not serious

Because I refuse my heart from feeling the agony caused by the obnoxious situations surrounded by it,
Because I refuse to act like the broken who is actually broken but seek the slightest of reasons to throw out a laughter.
She says am not serious.

Because I smile at the news that was suppose to break me,
Because I laugh harder at the one that strucks me like ball of fire,
She says am not serious.

She left me wondering if
Being down, feeling broken, allowing all the pains get to your heart and take a toll on your flesh actually means being serious. Seriously Unserious
