Solitude, I, and a Happy Guitar Out from my home

Solitude, I, and a Happy Guitar

Out from my home on a sunny day, radio playing in car;
No one there as my company, just I and my happy guitar.

The road welcoming us with open arms and the song in my head,
The day still young, warm with promises, and we are moving ahead.

And the young morning then turned to afternoon; as it always turns-
The seconds and the seasons, which passed by, are sure not to return.

As the afternoon approached evening, I was still driving my car-
Looking off the road I looked beside, to find my happy guitar.

We needed a break and thus from the car, we wanted to step down-
As we looked for a proper place, it was then, when we reached your town.

Found a lovely corner near a bend - watching over the valley -
In ones and twos lighted the lights, and lighted hearts unknown alley.

The evening started blanketing the town, and risen the north star-
No one there, just three of us - solitude, I, a happy guitar.

And now I am not sure, if it's time to leave, as left the north star,
Darkness, solitude, with city lights on; I and happy guitar.
