बुद्धीन्द्रियाणि चक्षु:श्रोतघ्राणरसनत्वगाख्यानि ।

वाक्पाणिपादपायूपस्था: कर्मेन्द्रियाणि आहु: । ।

It directly means : 

Organs of knowledge (or cognition) are called the Eye, the Ear, the Nose, the Tongue and the Skin. The organs of action are called the Speech, the Hand, the Feet, the excretory organ and the organ of generation.


【●◆SEE CAPTION◆●】 Organness (i.e. indriyatam meaning from the indriyas/senses) is to have for its  *substratum (*=a layer of something lying under another layer, especially soil or rock) {i.e as its constituent adjunct (upaadaankatvam) the I―Principle abounding in Sattva attribute, and it is of two kinds : organs of knowledge, and organs of action. Both of these organs are called indriyas/senses inasmuch as they serve as the indicators of the Spirit**. They are known by their respective names such as Eye etc. Of these, the organ or the instrument through which colour is perceived is the Eye, that which perceives sound is the Ear, that which perceives odour is the Nose, that which perceives taste is the Tongue, and that which perceives touch is the Skin. [The function of the organs of the speech, the hand, the feet, the excretory organ and the organ of generation, all are spoken in next to next verse].

** indriya idam iti indriyam which means it is indriya/sense because it reminds one of Indra or paramatma/god, the Supreme Soul. Indriya is, therefore, that which reminds one of the Supreme Lord. All indriyas/senses work for the sake of the Atman/Aatma/Soul only.
