They say the wounded heart bleeds poetry. I say the hurt connect to the poetry They perhaps ignored when happy. This #worldpoetryday I look back at all the times I wasted not trying to understand poetry. Growing up in a bookworm bengali household too helped very little with my understanding of poetry. Then almost like every other interest I take up, I started reading it more two years back. Frankly I was never convinced to try my hand on it unless some people inspired and pushed me to it. This year I surprised myself with the number of poetry books I bought and the way people appreciated whatever I wrote. It's just an amateur start and I hope to love poetry more,if not write better at the end of this journey. Happy World Poetry Day, to poets, readers, and people who struggle to understand poetry.
