White Why don't you leave behind? The melancholic

White
Why don't you leave behind?
The melancholic traces of scars,
Like foam swept away by the tide,
Cleansing the body's shore.
Like shoes left at the door,
Entrance to a sacred shrine.
Why do you dwell on it?
Like the relentless sea,
Whose waves, to and fro,
won't wash away pearls,
But merely cast off shells.
Even if molluscs and oysters
Are swept away,
You choose the tedious path,
To obtain the Pearl.
