An Ode to Darkness Oh darkness, how I sing thy praise A cloak of black that covers my days You come and go with the rising moon A familiar friend, a comforting boon You shroud the world in your inky veil And bring forth a silence so calm and pale The stars twinkle brighter in your embrace And the secrets of the night reveal their face In you, I find a respite from light A refuge from the day and its blinding sight You calm my mind and soothe my soul And help me find peace and make me whole You are the canvas for dreams and fears And hold the promise of what tomorrow bears You remind me that all things have their end And show me the beauty in things that bend Oh darkness, you are often feared Misunderstood and thought of as weird But in you, I see a beauty rare A stillness and peace beyond compare So here's my ode to you, dear night Your darkness gives me strength and might In you, I find a world of wonder And in your embrace, I will forever ponder. ©Masoom #DARKNESSANDFIRE
