जाति न पूछो साधू की, पूछ लीजिए ज्ञान। मोल करो तलवार का, पड़ा रहन दो म्यान॥ भावार्थ : कबीर दास जी कहते हैं, एक सच्चे साधु को सभी प्रकार के भेदभाव से ऊपर माना जाता है। किसी साधु से यह कभी नहीं पूछा जाता कि वह किस जाति का है, उसका ज्ञान ही भक्तजनों के लिए पर्याप्त होता है। जिस प्रकार किसी तलवार का मूल्य उसके म्यान के आधार पर नहीं उसकी धार के आधार पर आंका जाता है, उसी प्रकार एक साधु की जाति भी तलवार के म्यान के समान होती है और उसका ज्ञान तलवार की धार के समान। Abstract : Kabir Das ji says, a real Sage is considered above all kinds of discrimination. A Sage is never asked which caste he belongs to, his knowledge alone is sufficient for the devotees. Just as the value of a sword is judged not on the basis of its sheath but on the basis of its edge, similarly the caste of a Sage is like the sheath of the sword and his knowledge is like the edge of the sword. #Sage
