Kulbhushan is someone we all hope exists, who is a beautiful reminder of all that is good in us and how capable are we as humans. Only he could dig the meaning of the saying, Sharing is Caring to it's real essence and unfolded it to us by sharing his blood. And not just his blood, he is a one man army who used to organise blood donation camps for 35 years, until 2010. They say naming your child is a very crucial, significant step for the meaning of it will hold influence on him/her their entire life and it does not hold false in Kulbhushan's case. If his name is split in Kul, meaning family, and Bhushan, meaning ornament, we see how firmly he has stood by it, giving blood and saving families, an ornament more precious than gold to treasure, an undeterred heart and a mind with fierce conviction. He is among the real chosen ones by KK, a.k.a Krishna Kanhaiya, as he likes to adress him.
Unfortunately or fortunately, I could not meet or associate with him when he zestly kept himself involved in his holy job. Maybe because KK had a very special job for him to do for me exclusively, that is being a writer. He has compiled his experiences as a blood donar and a compassion for humanity in the span of four novels which he now reads to me. Everyday he drips some of his experiences into my veins and gives me the most essential part that was missing since my childhood, story telling session. Because not only blood, he is capable of rejuvenating life in you. He will tickle your heart effortlessly and bring a smile on your face. Such is the magic of this beautiful human being.
