Of the Bygone

Sitting on that bench,
My hands unknowingly clench
I still remember the now gone days
The world was so bright, and so gay
Oh! How I miss those bygone days
When love was real, and not fake.

I remember the light in your eyes,
Like the stars adorn the dark skies.
So delicate yet sheer
Without a speck of doubt, or fear
Indeed, in those days
Our love was real.
