The tree nearby just lost a couple more leaves as

The tree nearby just lost a couple more leaves as if telling me I should wind down when needed and shed my tired leaves so that the new ones blossom when it is time.

Is there such a thing as a physical burnout? I am not sure yet but I had been traveling and playing cricket nonstop for a month straight until realised I needed a breather. So out of pure instinct based on my gut feeling, I canceled the remaining games till Diwali and chose to head home instead. This is Champawat. A place far away from the constant buzz in Almora.

I took a chair out and placed it on the roof hoping to catch some of the slowly rising run. I had a nice warm bath but the morning is still cold. It is 9 already but the coldness seems to rule the city. The birds are chirping and the tree nearby is shedding a couple leaves every time a cold gush of wind hugs it. It is a beautiful morning. There is absolutely no doubt about it. The calm in the town brings the calm within me graciously.

I didn't wake up early today. In fact, I woke up when the clock ticked well past 7. I didn't leave the bed immediately. I loved feeling the coziness. I also realised how exhausted I had been! I didn't do the meditations or the affirmations or anything like that. I didn't want to compete with myself today. I didn't want to compete. I just wanted to breathe. And that's precisely what I am doing. God I'm loving it.
