This was a bonus and a dream job that I landed up serendipitously.
Even my father who used to chide me for devoting more time to photography than on studies was ecstatic.
Now that I was the official Travelling Photographer for the WWF the first job was to film the elusive Changthangi or the Tibetan goat found in the upper reaches of the Kashmir region.
Excited for the first assignment I landed up in the hills and without even acclamatization started in search for my subject.
As fate would have it my guide saw some markings and was confident that those were of the goats but refused to lead beyond a point citing Chinese territory.
Me in my exuberance disregarded his concerns and i proceeded all alone with this fact in mind that no one would be up so high above in the wild.
Barely an hour had passed when i was confronted by a couple of Chinese soldiers and they wanted to see my passport.
I was in for a rude shock as my passport was nowhere to be found and was sweating even in the sub zero temperatures, i was fumbling with the contents of my bag again and again.
