माँ की ममता ने मिट्टी से मानव बनाया, श्री हरी के वरदान ने पुतले को जीवन दिलाया। माँ की आज्ञा ने पिता से भी युद्ध लड़ाया, वीर था वो बाल, उसने अपना शीश कटाया।। माँ की अथाह पीड़ा ने, गज़ का मुख दिलाया, हर संकट को हरा भक्तों का हर दुःख दूर कराया, अपने साहस और चतुराई से हर चुनौती पार आया। रिद्धि-सिद्धि को अपनाया, जग में बहुत नाम कमाया, फिर भी माता-पिता के इर्द-गिर्द ही पूरा जगत पाया। मूष की सवारी की, और मीठे मोदक उसका मन भाया, हर कोई पूजे सबसे पहले, कुछ ऐसा मुकाम है पाया। यूँ ही नहीं सब दुःख हरने वाला, वो नन्हा बालक, "प्रथम पूज्य दुःख-हरता विघ्न-हरता श्री गणेश" कहलाया।। !!!!Om Shri Ganeshaay Namah!!!! This is What We say, whenever We start anything New... Who is Ganesh??? Why do We Worship Him First???? Maa Parvati didn't have any child. And Lord Shiva was also a Yogi and Mostly busy in Meditations.. So, she needed someone to accompany her and hence, she created the sculpture of a Child from "Mitti" or Sand.. Then Lord Vishnu, on insistence of Maa Parvati, gave the sculpture life.. That's How Ganesh was Born... She was very happy and loved and adored him a lot.. After all, He was the One who would always stay with Her, unlike others. One day, when she was going to take a nap or bath, she asked Ganesh to Protect the Doorway and to not allow anyone to go inside.. Till then, Young Ganesha didn't have any clue about His Father.. When Lord Shiva came to meet Mata, The Innocent Child didn't let Him enter the Home, to honour his mother's words. Lord Shiva got angry and fought with him.. He was also very brave.. He didnt get frightened and fought equally with valour.. But Alas, He was a Child in front of Mighty Lord Shiva, and hence, He was defeated and in turn, lost his life by his head being be-headed.. When Mata heard the noise she came outside, to find Her son nowhere. She panicked and asked everyone present there but no one had an answer. Who would dare to say anything. Even Lord Shiva kept mum. Her Pain and Anger turned her into Goddess Kali and when she was about to destroy the World, Maa Laxmi came to the rescue and promised to provide Ganesha with new life.. Since His Head was destroyed, they could only found the Head of a Mighty Elephant to replace His Head and hence, He got the Head of Elephant of "Gaj"and is also fondly called "Gajaanan" or "Gajodhar".. Since He had performed His Duties very sincerely and proved to the the Bravest among all, He was given the Title of "Pratham Pujniya" by Maa Laxmi... And truly, He cares so much for His Bhakts that He is always there whenever One needs them...
