I was still not fully awake, wondering if I was dreaming or was it for real. I pinched myself and knew this to be reality. I asked her in a concerned voice " What happened Anu? Why are you crying? Did someone hurt you?" She pointed to her phone. I took it from her and I was shocked to see intimate pictures of her and her bf. It was a new number threatening to circulate it unless she arranged for five lakh immediately. She tried reaching her bf Ajay to find out how someone else had access to their photos, but his phone was switched off. I immediately told her " Let's go to the cyber crime department and seek their help. They will be able to trace out the identity of the person and catch hold of them." I had my own doubts if Ajay was the one doing this through another number, but I didn't voice out my opinion lest she felt hurt. The cyber crime officer was extremely helpful. They could immediately locate the tower of that number. It was in the same area where Ajay's PG was situated. On reaching there, we found Ajay unconcious. His roommate who was a drug addict was the one blackmailing. Thank god it wasn't Ajay. Atleast Anu wasn't betrayed by him, though it was his carelessness that caused so much tension. That was the only silver lining. Full story in caption Here's a #collab prompt for #YoStoWriMo. Write a #childrenstory titled #elephantintheroom.
