Again a silly random thought this. I saw a girl's pics a few days back, a little cleavage was there. Honestly, it made me look twice at her pics. And I feel no shame in accepting this. But then, I thought that even I do the same. I mean, I keep the top two buttons of my shirt open. I haven't even built a chest to flaunt, but I still like to keep my two buttons open, and it does show my cleavage. So what's the difference?

Maybe the difference is just that most men ogle at women's cleavage, so when women show it, it grabs more attention. And most women don't ogle at men's bare cleavage, so we find it harmless, or normal, or sanskaari. I never find myself slutty when I decide to show my cleavage. I mean, I even refuse to close one more button when people point it out. So, how can women be called slutty or judged for showing a little cleavage? Hypocrisy?

Bodies are beautiful, and so are the curves. What makes it dirty is the intention of the looker. I don't even have a sculpted chest, but I feel happy to show it off. So why can't women flaunt that cleavage?

Maybe, in the western world, men don't ogle at the cleavage of women, and hence the women there feel more comfortable with cleavage revealing dresses. Maybe, it's just about the eyes of men and not the bodies of women. But again, in the Indian context, maybe it makes sense to dress as per the place and crowd, sadly, a compromise.
