The martyr, you're that brave tiger Who destroyed the enemy , & Himself too . The nation woke up to the heartbreaking news of Colonel Ashutosh Sharma, Major Anuj Sood, Lance Naik Dinesh Singh, Naik Rajesh Kumar and Sub-Inspector Shakeel Qazi sacrificing their lives after fighting militants in Kashmir's Handwara. The Army officers were leading a team to rescue civilians who had been taken hostage by the terrorists. Col Sharma, who was part of several successful counter-insurgency operations, had also been awarded Seva Medal for gallantry, when he shot a militant - who was rushing towards his men with a grenade hidden under his clothes - at close range. 🙏 This is another of the countless incidents when the bravehearts put our lives before their own, when they exemplified that courage is their badge of honour.
