On 13 April 1919, Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place in Amritsar, Punjab where Colonel Reginald Dyer ordered troops of the British Indian Army to start firing into a crowd of Indians. There were about 25,000 people present in Jallianwala Bagh at the time of firing. Some tried to escape while some jumped in the well built in the premises of Jallianwala Bagh to save themselves from getting shot. Thousands of people died in the massacre and about 120 dead bodies were recovered from the well. Know everything
