She asked, her voice a tender sigh,
"Why are you always so kind, tell me why?"
He smiled, with warmth in his embrace,
"There are two reasons, love, I’ll share in this space."

Curious, she leaned a little near,
"What are they, love? I long to hear."
He looked at her with love so deep,
"First, I love you, in my heart you’ll keep.
And second, a girl like you, you see,
Deserves kindness, endlessly."

Her cheeks turned soft with a rosy glow,
"Aww, that's so sweet," she whispered low.

"I can't be yours,
Will you still love me?"

Him
"I know you are not mine,
Yet love for you will never wane,
For some stories are meant to remain unfinished,
But my heart’s devotion shall not be diminished.

Though fate may bind us far apart,
My love for you will never depart.
In this life, destiny may stand tall,
But my love remains, silent through it all.

I may be helpless in this moment,
But in another world, I'll be present.
