Guide to a good girl. 1- When I was 5, my maa handed me over the barbie dolls and kitchen sets to play with, My fascination for hotwheels and beyblades, building blocks and video games, action figures and lazer rifles, to my maa and papa was more or less a cosmological myth. My parents could not digest my leisure time being spent in company of boys and their masculine toys, and as the consequence, I was made to sit in a room all day, with a stuffed doll and few make up sets in defence. The filter to my cigarette The sun shines bright right into my eyes, And my alarm goes on, Cheenu, nahi uth rahi naa... There she enters, a woman wrapped in saree, perspiring all over, brows frowned, lips pursed, and all the agony that she could carry. After an exact 3 hours and 23 minutes of rambling about how irresponsible her daughter is, she finally takes a pause, . because it was time for me to leave. And i see in her eyes the utmost grieve. #Poetry #dpf
