I can see the change coming.
And for the first time,
I am unable to process it.
I'm breaking it down to pieces,
Slicing it up by situations
Days and hypothetical scenarios
And all of them leave me sweating
Dripping in anxiety.
Sipping my coffee
I wonder, why is it not working?
Why am I not able to decode
The fix I seem to be in?
Was the change
Gonna change everything?
The life we've built
The days we wanted
The way of things we wished for
Or is this another sort of spiral
Built as my mind's conspiracy?
I talk this out loud
For the voices in my head are deafening.
He nods along, agreeing
A change is coming
Then breaks into a smile
Says, he can feel it too
And somehow the sound of that
