The nights and the stars gazed through,
There sat a boy on a little cliff,
Awaiting to hear a whisper of acceptance,
Amidst the whistle of the wind.

He cast his warmth into many a people,
Poured his time and love into the thirsty,
Drenched them in care day in and day out,
Only to find himself surrounded by darkness.

Yet he searched for the light,
The light of even a single heart's cry,
A cry with his name entangled to it,
Or for atleast a grasp of their gentle breath.

He tuned his mind and heart,
To give it out all even if nothing comes ashore,
His river drained it all,
Not realising the spring had dried up.

With a heavy inside, he gazed through the net of madness,
Pictures and words pierced him day in and out,
Images soaked him in sadness and worst of all,
His light started to die down.

On a full moon's night, he sat down yet again,
On a cliff beside the sea,
With nothing and no one left within and around,
But his breath, body and his father above. Alone...

You were always that glitter in the eye,
Sparkling almost for no reason,
Though the heart searched for it,
A million times within...

Never really knew,

But then so it happened,
Like the cloud hiding away the shy sun...

Always wondered " Why so beautiful?",
Yet why wouldnt I, Cos you were beauty personified,
People yelled that I was buttering up,
But, how can't I not proclaim the truth!

My heart did sink, when I saw tears,
Rolling down those freckled cheeks,
Was as willing as I was afraid,
To just hold that palm and never let go..

Crazy stories as whirlwinds filled the sky,
But yet, our kite with the string of love, Kept soaring inspite of all the rhyme,
Your so far away, yet so close,
As I can feel your heartbeat,
When I have my eyes closed..

Missed me or did it make you wonder?
To not have heard the eagle's cry?
Thats because I was hovering above,
