'ভারতের জনতাই নিশ্চিত করবে অবাধ নির্বাচন', রাষ্ট্রসংঘের উদ্বেগ ওড়ালেন জয়শংকর ভারতের নির্বাচন সুষ্ঠুভাবে ভয়মুক্ত পরিবেশে হবে কিনা তা নিয়ে পরোক্ষে সংশয় প্রকাশ করেছিল রাষ্ট্রসংঘ। রাষ্ট্রসংঘের মহাসচিব অ্যান্তনিও গুতেরেসের মুখপাত্র স্টিফান ডুজারিচ জানিয়েছিলেন, ''আমরা আশা রাখছি ভারতে সবার অধিকার সুরক্ষিত থাকবে।” তাঁর সেই মন্তব্যের জবাব দিলেন বিদেশমন্ত্রী এস জয়শংকর। জানিয়ে দিলেন, ভারতে নির্বাচন যেন সুষ্ঠু ও অবাধ হয় তা রাষ্ট্রসংঘকে মনে করিয়ে দিতে হবে না। ভারতের জনতাই তা নিশ্চিত করবে। বিজেপি প্রার্থী রাজীব চন্দ্রশেখরে হয়ে প্রচারে এসেছিলেন জয়শংকর (S Jaishankar)। সেখানেই সাংবাদিকদের সঙ্গে কথা বলার সময় এই বিষয়ে প্রতিক্রিয়া জানান তিনি। রাষ্ট্রসংঘের আধিকারিকের মন্তব্যের উত্তরে বিদেশমন্ত্রী বলেন, ''আমাদের নির্বাচন (Lok Sabha Election 2024) অবাধ ও সুষ্ঠু হওয়া উচিত, এটা বলার জন্য আমার রাষ্ট্রসংঘের প্রয়োজন নেই। ভারতের মানুষ আমাদের সঙ্গে আছে। ভারতের জনগণ নিশ্চিত করে দেবেন নির্বাচন অবাধ ও সুষ্ঠু হবে। সুতরাং, এটা নিয়ে চিন্তা করবেন না।'' ©BANGLE TIMES #Indian
