مگر بات صرف زندگی تک محدود نہیں رہی۔ اُسکے مرنے کے بعد چھٹی بار آسمانی بجلی 1936 میں اُسکی قبر پر گری۔ حیرت انگیز بات یہ ہے کہ بار بار آسمانی بجلی سے ٹکرانے کے باوجود، سمر فورڈ کی کہانی نے صرف ان کی بدقسمتیوں کے لیے ہی نہیں بلکہ اُس کی صورتحال کی نہ قابلِ یقین خوش قسمتی کے لیے بھی شہرت حاصل کی کہ وہ کیسےہرباربچ جاتا۔ ان کے ان حقیقی تجربات نے قسمت، تقدیر اور زندگی کی بے ترتیبی پر بحث کو جنم دیا، ہمیں کائنات کے عظیم منصوبے میں موقع اور بقا کے درمیان نازک توازن کی یاد دہانی کراتے ہیں۔
