The rain has been falling all day
Puddles are all over the ground
The sun has not made it's way
Only drops of rain make a sound

Splashes heard from all directions
The animals must be very excited
They can drink from many selections
Water can make them delighted

An escape

I want to go on a far trip and
Watch the view along the way
Watching the scenery change
As I travel each day

To see the many creatures
And the beautiful trees
All of the lovely flowers
That attract so many bees

I want to view the horizon
From somewhere new
A different sunrise and
A different sunset too

Where the skies are blue
The fields green with grass
Mountains in the distance and
Streams and rivers run past

Dreaming of this peaceful
Place to spend my days
And get away from
The constant everyday craze
