White CHAPTER 4: LOVE CAN BE ABSURD... "I LOVE YOU", He said without even thinking for a second that day on March 1st 2024, on my birthday. All my mind thought that day was that a crazy person came out of nowhere to blurt some nonsense just to waste some seconds of his life. Yet Now... I turned twenty but then the next couple of minutes just turned out to be a complete typhoon. I mean...he didn't even look at my face when he confessed but just kept on facing the ground with his face fully turned red. I thought, "Jeez, what is he? A monkey who just came out from hot spring?" When I asked what he liked about me, he didn't utter a word. I said without feeling anything for him, "I am sorry but my parents wouldn't allow such relationships!" I lied indeed! I was an orphan from the day I opened my eyes. Everything he did was totally unusual! Who would even confess their feelings with a cake instead of flowers? Then and there we would meet in the university campus, but we both acted complete strangers. One day, I was late for my History professor's class. I was rushing to class like I was running in some marathon. I didn't even think that it would be my greatest unfortunate day. I fell down because of slippery floor and ended up writing 10 essays 10 times after my class ended. My mood couldn't get worse any more then this. In the middle of all this, he appeared with a sign board indicating 'Sorry'. Sorry? For what exactly? I don't understand anything about him anymore. He was being precarious from the day he confessed. What are you doing here, YOU CREEP? Can you already stop with your pretentious act? Seriously it's getting on my nerves! Please get lost from my sight if you can from now onwards! I totally took my entire frustration on him. He couldn't face me anymore and started looking down. Surprisingly he started talking in a low voice. "I am sorry that I didn't say anything when you asked what I liked about you. I am sorry that I was too nervous to say even 'hello' when we crossed paths. I am sorry... "Wait, what are you saying?" I interrupted. "Let me finish, I am sorry that I didn't even have the courage to save you when I saw you falling down on a slippery ground!" "Yes, I am not manly like other boys yet I can't help falling in love with you!" He was usually a scaredy car but that day he seemed like a different person with a very serious look on his face. When he told me all those feelings he felt inside, he looked p. I started to think, "Oh, is this how he always looked like?" I found myself noticing my irregular heartbeat. Do you think I would accept you if apologies for everything? You still haven't told me what you like about me. With a slight hesitation and blush, he whispered, "Should there be a reason for liking someone? Would you believe me if I said that I have been noticing you since the day you stood up for your friend?" I was astonished! I thought he would never talk to me again but I didn't expect to be so direct with his feelings. I began to slightly blush as I heard my heart beating more and more. I thought, "IS THIS LOVE?" "Hey, if you don't mind, do you think we could be in a relationship from now onwards....?" In a second, I saw his hands reaching out to hug me, warming my soul and body. White CHAPTER 3: WHO AM I SUPPOSED BE? Newyork is the city of lights where the dreams dreamt in reality comes true. Birds has those wings to fly high, to soar higher than other creatures. I too had childish, absurd dreams when I was little. The dream to become a magician, and travel all around the world with no barrier to obstruct me. Yes, that's how absurd my dream was- something that was too outlandish in reality. As time passed, I changed, my desires changed and so are my dreams. I finally have something that I really want to achieve in my life. I wanted to become a dancer who can make the world smile beautifully with just her flawless moves, like the only star in the darkness that never fades away in an instant. It took a great deal of effort to get my parent's approval in joining a dance institute in New York. It was not easy to get where I am right now. Until last year, I had uploaded only videos of my dancing in YouTube. It was a pleasure seeing so many people supporting me from world wide, even though they didn't know me. I uploaded atleast 5 videos per day, to get the world know about me. Later after a month, I was sent a letter from Rising Dance Institute in Newyork, with a joining application to transfer there next month. However, when my parents found about this, they confiscated all my gadgets and didn't allow me to even reply to that letter. I was afraid that the great apportunity would be wasted!! They told with a upright face, "You are going to become a doctor and will succeed our family, give up concentrating on unnecessary garbage!!" Those words totally broke my heart, I didn't even have anything to talk against those merciless words. To tell them that it was my dream and destination, was like putting myself in the worse prison ever, as I have never once went against them in anything. I thought if becoming a doctor makes them happy, I wouldn't mind being a doll controlled by some loose threads. The terrified face that they showed that day clearly proved that they thought my dream was just a meaningless rubbish. But then....I just couldn't give up on being Newyork's best dancer either! Going against them will grant my dream but it would forever build a wall between us. Both my dream and my relationship with them is precious and important to me.... A Dancer or a Doctor? White Preface When the world smiled upon her, she didn't know how to smile back. When the world around her smiled so easily, she didn't understand what could be the possible conversation that made them to smile so much. She thought and thought......until one day she came to a conclusion that the world was too different and difficult to understand. She wanted to understand the hearts of people, but she herself was caught in an unknown island of lost thoughts and complex emotions. "Thy heart is a maze, I find an exit only to run again .." But... "When thou take a different path- vulnerable to others, thou meet understanding people and situations.." CHAPTER 2: HAPPY WITH WHAT I FEEL. The world knew this pianist as someone with worst personality. Her music permeated among people like a forest fire more for her rumours then music. Rumours said that she had already been disowned by her parents for going against them. Yet her notes sounded like an ice cream melting softly in heart and soul. A renowned street performer known for her music and rumoured lies.The people who marched forward to listen were always two minded. She told people who came to listen, "Music is my truth, and it doesn't lie!" "I don't have to prove myself, for I have my music always...", She uttered. Her heart was always empty, though she stood at the centre of million eyes. Great pianists like Beethoven, Mozart and Franchubert were always at the centre of such massive crowd. Their songs told a story that lead the music world to it's massive heights now. "I too live in a similar world, yet why does my heart feels lonely?" "Those hovering eyes of people is what kills me like poison slowly permeating through my entire body...!", she exclaimed. One fine day, where the sun rose from West, she came to perform early in an unusual timing. No soul was in sight and she thought it was better that way. As she commenced with her performance, she heard some foot steps approaching her that ringed through her ears like clear rain drops. She could feel that this person was different from any other she had met before. At the end of her performance, she saw this person waving a gentle smile towards her music. "Is music your truth?", Said the man wearing a blue suit, faint black haired with pale skin toned. She lifted her head with a really bewildered look. "Then......why don't you become that truth to people who wants them?", Said the man with a strange smile, siding his head slightly to one side. Those words lit a new fire in her lonely heart. The man happened to be a music manager of a small company, and he made her truth known to world. She shifted from the city full of hovering eyes to a city full of honest eyes. She wasn't playing in front of a big crowd anymore, but on a grand stage with million of onlookers to accomodate. Though only few came to listen to her music, she knew those honest eyes was the truth she was seeking for. "Those eyes are the real reward for the music I create!", She thought while playing in front of those few precious eyes. "Time flies, a single person who came that day made me realise that this is the type of people I seek for the truth, as they didn't care who I was but believed me for my music.
