Well, I am not surprised that's all I can say.
Most people are backing him from his recent performances but I was saying about him since the first time I saw him open with Ishan Kishan in under 19 WC.
I thought Ishan Kishan was MSD and Pant was Juvraj, both of them have similar backlift and similar striking abilities.
He prefers playing longer formats of the game as there is a lot of open spaces in test matches for him to hit.
In T20Is, he is very good.
But problem is with his ODIs performance.
He doesn't rotate strikes enough to be consistent. No wonder his average is in the 20s in domestic 50 over's cricket.
So it was not that surprising also that he was inconsistent in the ODIs for India.
But I would like look at this differently. I want him to bat in different positions in WC XI. I think he should bat at number 6 position after Dhoni and Kedar Jadav number 4 and number 5 respectively.
With Hardik Pandya at number 7
I believe this will be a very very powerful batting line-up.
Pant should be asked to play his natural game in that position without thinking much as at the moment he is getting confused whenever he was asked bat more sensibly in ODIs by taking single
So one should make sure that he plays with an uncluttered mind. If he scores one of those 20 ball 40–50 batting in number 6 position in the last 10 overs then we will surely get a huge score.
Keeping that in mind I have kept him in my WC XI in place of Karthik. If he still fails to perform then Karthik can bat in his position
I believe Rishabh Pant is an outstanding talent but needs to be handled well. And I don't think that's happening
Virat Kohli isn't very good at handling talent, he screwed up with KLRahul by not giving him chances when he was performing consistently and now he isn't handling Rishabh Pant as well
Ganguly was master of handling talent, maybe Virat Kohli should learn a things or two from Ganguly's book.

In a study of more than 25,000 people, those who drank a moderate amount of coffee – defined as three to five cups daily – were less likely to have calcium deposits in their coronary arteries than those who drank no coffee or more coffee daily. A large part of arterial plaque consists of calcium deposits (atherosclerosis), hence the term "hardening of the arteries." Coronary artery calcium can be a significant predictor of future heart disease risk. In addition, one study showed moderate coffee drinking reduces your chances of being hospitalized for heart rhythm problems. Another study found it may trigger a 30 percent increase in blood flow in your small blood vessels, which might take some strain off your heart. Another study, a meta-analysis that included data from 11 studies and nearly 480,000 people found drinking two to six cups of coffee a day was associated with a lower risk of stroke.
Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease
