ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੰਜ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਆਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ.................... ਮਸਲੇ ਨਾ ਹੱਲ ਹੋਏ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ, ਦੁੱਖ ਡਾਹਢੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਭਾਰ ਦੇ। ਅੱਖਾਂ 'ਚ ਸਬੂਤਾ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਾਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ...................... ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ 'ਚ ਰੁੱਲ ਗਏ, ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ, ਦੌੜ ਤੇ ਕੱਬਡੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ। ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਰੰਗ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ........ ਜਾਣਬੁੱਝ ਫਸਲਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ, ਆਪਣੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਹ ਘੁੱਟਿਆ। ਕਿੰਨੇ ਮਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ......... ਪੰਜ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਆਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਬਿਸ਼ੰਬਰ ਅਵਾਂਖੀਆ, 097818 25255 ©Bishamber Awankhia #river

ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ....................
ਮਸਲੇ ਨਾ ਹੱਲ ਹੋਏ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ,
ਦੁੱਖ ਡਾਹਢੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਭਾਰ ਦੇ।
ਅੱਖਾਂ 'ਚ ਸਬੂਤਾ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਾਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ......................
ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ 'ਚ ਰੁੱਲ ਗਏ,
ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ, ਦੌੜ ਤੇ ਕੱਬਡੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ।
ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਰੰਗ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਿਹਾ........
ਜਾਣਬੁੱਝ ਫਸਲਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ,
ਆਪਣੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਹ ਘੁੱਟਿਆ।
ਕਿੰਨੇ ਮਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
