To quench the thirst of love I walked through the desert. Looking for anything that could help. A river, a well, or even a pond would be better. After walking for what felt like ages But in reality were just few hours. My legs finally ceased walking When I heard the most melodious sound The sound of water hitting the stones. Not too far from where I halted Was a sight to sore eyes. I couldn't waste time, not anymore wondering where it was flowing from. I had a burning sensation too soothe. My fingers glided down my parched throat. My legs on its own accord Moved in the direction of the waterfall. As I got closer, the magic slowly seemed to disappear. But I was too lost to notice the change in air Just as I thrust my hands forward It was no longer water, but just sand.
