On the dawn of 23rd of February 1568, Chittorgarh faced it's third Saka and Jauhar, after being seized by Mughal Emperor Akbar for three months. It is said that 30,000 civilians were massacred and about 8000 soldiers, men and women fought the mighty army of 30,000. At the end of the day, as the blood of the Mewaris soaked their motherland, Chittor had fallen.
