Characters:
Swetha - narrator of the story
Katherine - the teacher who leads the camp group.
Fireflies - spirit of the School.

I was studying in doveton girls higher secondary school in 7th grade. My school arranged for a educational camp during my 7th grade and I was really excited about it as it was a night camp. My friends started chit chatting about the camp as soon as they heard of it.
One of my friends said," Guys, do you know about the ghost that roams around our school campus during night time?"
My other friend replied,"Yes, I have heard of the rumour before! There's a ghost in our school that strolls around devouring the souls of many people!"
After hearing about the ghosts, I was really frightened and even my legs commenced to tremble in fear! The thought of ghosts made my mind to freeze and started clenching my teeth thinking about ghosts! Miss Katherine, our P.E teacher, was put in charge of leading the camp group. The day before the camp, I only had nightmares about all kinds of terrifying ghosts. It even made me to fall down from my bed yelling my mother's name so badly. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good sleep and originally planned not to attend the camp. Pulling over my blanket, I jumped over my bed to get some peaceful sleep. But then suddenly, I got a call from my friend. She asked me to attend the camp no matter what happens! She also included that those who don't attend the camp, are expected to pay a fine of 2000 rupees mandatorily. For this pity reason itself, I got up from my bed reluctantly, grabbing my things and rode my bicycle to school . I arrived there at 5.30 pm, and wondered whether i should have just stayed at home clinging on to my bed.
My school was actually a forest and later it was built as a school by the founder of our school. It felt like I was walking through a wild and deep forest, covered with shallow clouds. I felt like even the sun was giving me a warning of not to enter the school campus, as it was slowly descending. Holding my fears Inside, I started walking to the spot where all my friends and classmates had gathered. Oh right! I forgot to mention that the camp was organised in the other part of the school campus, where we were only allowed to play during P. E classes.

It was 6:00 and we started putting up the tents as per the instructions of our teacher. I was more frightened when it started to get darker. My hands didn't even move slightly at the sight of trees and wild shrubs. My friend was staring at me like anything for not doing any work and getting stuck to a place like a lizard. But no matter how hard I tried, I was not able to get rid of my fears.
Later, we were put into groups of 6, having 4 mambers in each group. Our teacher instructed, " Girls, you will be going into the school campus more deeper today and grab the ceramic bowl with silver coating that is kept at each of your destinations! After finding it, everyone should return to the same spot where we are meeting right now." That's it! My two legs froze making me unable to take another step forward. I started wondering like the entrance of the school campus itself was way too deeper for me and getting into more deeper made me lost in thoughts!
The leader of each group were given a map and our group started strolling over to the place which was marked in the map. Fortunately, I was put in the same group as my friends and I was atleast glad for that.
My friend said in a hillarious manner," Swetha, move your legs and start walking! You are not a lizard to stick to one place forever!!" I definitely knew that I was not a lizard but its just the thought of ghosts made me to think crazily about them.
