Men walking on dark street He was with me all along. Protecting me like a warrior, not with a fierce sword, but through provoking words. He beckoned me during toughest times, even though he made it seem like wasn't caring enough for me. ○"You are not mature enough to face the world yet!", This is what he has always told me since my childhood days. Why though? When I am already in college, and ready to take my own flight? Until one day, I witnessed how he took pride in his work. "He is merely a bus conductor, what is so great about him?", That's what I have been thinking about about him. I didn't even give much thought towards his work. White CHAPTER 3: WHO AM I SUPPOSED BE? Newyork is the city of lights where the dreams dreamt in reality comes true. Birds has those wings to fly high, to soar higher than other creatures. I too had childish, absurd dreams when I was little. The dream to become a magician, and travel all around the world with no barrier to obstruct me. Yes, that's how absurd my dream was- something that was too outlandish in reality. As time passed, I changed, my desires changed and so are my dreams. I finally have something that I really want to achieve in my life. I wanted to become a dancer who can make the world smile beautifully with just her flawless moves, like the only star in the darkness that never fades away in an instant. It took a great deal of effort to get my parent's approval in joining a dance institute in New York. It was not easy to get where I am right now. Until last year, I had uploaded only videos of my dancing in YouTube. It was a pleasure seeing so many people supporting me from world wide, even though they didn't know me. I uploaded atleast 5 videos per day, to get the world know about me. Later after a month, I was sent a letter from Rising Dance Institute in Newyork, with a joining application to transfer there next month. However, when my parents found about this, they confiscated all my gadgets and didn't allow me to even reply to that letter. I was afraid that the great apportunity would be wasted!! They told with a upright face, "You are going to become a doctor and will succeed our family, give up concentrating on unnecessary garbage!!" Those words totally broke my heart, I didn't even have anything to talk against those merciless words. To tell them that it was my dream and destination, was like putting myself in the worse prison ever, as I have never once went against them in anything. I thought if becoming a doctor makes them happy, I wouldn't mind being a doll controlled by some loose threads. The terrified face that they showed that day clearly proved that they thought my dream was just a meaningless rubbish. But then....I just couldn't give up on being Newyork's best dancer either! Going against them will grant my dream but it would forever build a wall between us. Both my dream and my relationship with them is precious and important to me.... A Dancer or a Doctor?
