Smells like: Like an unattended wound That hasn't been bandaged, Like a damaged heart That hasn't been mended, My poetry sometimes Smells like a stale food. Looks like: Poetry looks like a "Walnut" Tough, rugged n sturdy on the outside; But just go a little deeper, spend some quality time and you'll see- It's actually soft and velvety, With decorated scars It's rather beautiful n pretty. Tastes like: Poetry tastes so much like my mother's sweet concern, Just like her warm cooked meal I know this:just a morsel of that food And the punctured heart would heal.
