I let my hair frame
my face.
My almost square face,
with high cheekbones that
I can be proud of and a
determined jaw, a phrase I've
picked up from numerous
books and movies where
they've described strong
willed women with a face
structure, similar to
mine.

I've moved from place to place and from eyes to eyes in search of a home.
I've moved from arms to arms and from words to words to try and fit in inside a world, I could call my own.
Here I stand, with the grass tickling my feet and the rocks trying to cut through the skin of my feet.
I kneel down and I look at the shallow waters in the lake.
My first visit to the stretch of water, clear and calm, that allowed me to see the sand in motion below, was today.
Today, afternoon.
To be precise.
Like I always do, I left a part of me right here.
