METAMORPHOSIS: I was always fascinated by birds, their ability to fly anywhere had always made me wish in being one of them. Continued in caption. I was always fascinated by birds, their ability to fly anywhere had always made me wish in being one of them. On 1st of January, 2019 I woke up to a beautiful morning, all pumped up to start a new year with new enthusiasm and zeal. Everything seemed normal at first but all of a sudden I heard my brother making this weird "sssh.. sshh.." sound as he entered my room. I got startled and asked him what had happened but he looked more tensed and kept on moving his hands right and left, as if he was trying to chase me away. It was then that I realized I was flying and as I went pass the mirror, I could see my little feathers constantly flapping to balance my little body. Fate had played it's part and somehow turned me into this tiny little sparrow. I heard my brother ask "Where did this bird come from to your room bhai?" as he knocked on the bathroom door. Seeing me overlooking him, he simply shooed me away one more time. As I flew outside, I simply wanted to tell him that it was me who was flying. I was both happy and surprised at this new form I had gained and kept on thinking if it was real or just a wild dream. But, since my age old dream had somehow turned into a reality, I took no time, flapped my wings and took off towards the sky to live this new adventure. I was on top of the world as I overlooked the buildings and trees below, my happiness knew no boundaries but it could barely last as I saw this Huge Eagle gawking at me from a distance. My heart raced faster than the horses as I flapped my tiny wings and rushed towards a nearby tree with a huge branch covered with thick leaves. I hid myself inside and held my breath for quite some time. Fortunately, the Eagle missed me and changed it's course. I took a sigh of relief but Fate had some other plans for me. As I had barely put myself to ease, I heard this "hissss.." sound on the tree and just in time I flew to escape from the attack of this venomous snake who almost succeded in making me his tasty snack. The day had taken it's toll on me, I was exhausted and had already started regretting my silly wish. There was nothing I could do, so instead of taking any further risks; I decided to go back to my room. Luckily the ventilation was big enough for me to squeeze in. I stayed in my bed the rest of the day praying to god to put me back to my HUMAN form and in the process I somehow fell asleep.
