Go first. I will follow. I know in between two people who decided to end things, one knows their way out already and it’s okay if I am the one who’s left behind, not knowing how or when to take the exits to the world we built together. It’s okay if you move forward first and do the grandest steps of doing your life without me in it. You don’t need to look back because it will only slow you down . I just want you to reach whatever destination you want to reach and I want to be jealous with that happiness that you finally have, that it’ll be my driving force to realize I had been grounded for too long. You can always move on first. You can always forget and start all over again with someone new. Just let me take everything unhurried but definite. It’s okay if I am the last one to leave, the last one to heal, the last one to realize her worth. I can’t afford to have this love the second time around. I can’t afford to watch it fail once more to the same reasons if ever I’ll keep up with your speed.
