Apologue of Neurotic Valentine “As I watched her struggling with the bonds which held her hand tied, crying, trying to be free, jeering for help, begging me to free her; There I was sitting in front of her, with a smile enveloping my face knowing that we are far away and no one can save her from me.” (Read full in caption) I wake up with a sudden commotion in my bed ruminating what’s the significance of this dream and why is it haunting me every night and the bigger question was who’s the girl??????????????? Thud Thud!! Knock on my bedroom door and my mother was shouting outside asking me to get ready as I will miss the college bus if I get late. As I washed my face, I looked up in mirror why am I having this horrible dream and who’s the girl. Being a topper in school and considered nerd by many, I had an aversion towards love in my life till now. I had no friends till now in my life and all I did was surround myself with books only, I preferred being alone and enjoyed companies of books only but what’s written in the fate can’t be changed. After 5 minutes of commencement of class, Principal Mr. Moitra came to class and with him came a girl; Mr. Moitra introduced her and asked her to sit and told professor that she has been detained due to failure in examination and she had to repeat the year again. Professor felt uneasy by her presence but there was nothing he can do except accepting orders of the principal so he asked her to sit in the class with a heavy heart. She came and sat by my side but I ignored her presence and fully concentrated on what the professor was teaching and ignoring her presence completely. After completion of class, as professor was taking attendance her name was announced-“Tani” and whole class was look at her amused and she felt embarrassed. Neither of us had intention of initiating talks with each other and I didn’t minded her presence beside me because all my focus was on lectures only.
