I began my writing journey here at YQ, over a year

I began my writing journey here at YQ, over a year ago. Before that, I was already a writer. My mother started my infantile life with various fairy tales and rhymes. She says that I already memorized verses when I was over a year old. Hence, I've been creating minute oeuvres since I was five years old. I began with short stories and diary entries. Because my parents came from the same literary-based background, I was trained early on, to pen down varied essays and anecdotes that they would read and edit, every now and then.

School gave me even more interesting venues to hone my craft. Teachers and peers would support me as I commenced entering a myriad of contests and holding varied school paper responsibilities. Oh, how I loved the challenges! These activities were easy for me. They were the kinds of intellectual objectives that increasingly filled up my academic years. They infused my soul with the kind of bliss that only art can ever endow.

Eventually, I opted to be a writer--flooding my work with my grounding in the social sciences. Whether it be a technical write-up, a news article, a simple narrative, or a basic poem, each diminutive piece was influenced by the multitudinous experiences and multifarious lessons that crammed up my ever-growing psyche.
