In my dreams
You are the star
In my fantasy
You play the main part

When I think
It's of you when I start
When I have a thought
It's of you and a heart

When I write
You are my art
When I scribble
It's of you sweetheart

I don't like when we're apart
Being without you it's hard

In my head I give you my regards
You are my favourite lifeguard

In poker you would be the wildcard
Flashes of you continue to bombard

All because you are at the top of my chart

Gord is a dog ...black fur and brown eyes
In this photo he's anxious to say something
Ready to spill the beans on what the cat did
He's just eager to blame the kitty for anything

Or maybe he's ready to say his bowl is empty
Barking.... "this should not happen again I say"
"Please be prompt with my meal times please"
"And I won't chase any of the squirrels today"

Time

The clock it ticks
The time it sticks
The light it shifts
But he still feels sick

The hours seem slow
Minutes don't flow
Seconds are few
But it still shows

The time it passes
The clock harasses
The day travels
Slower than molasses

Time seems dead
Frozen in his head
The day has no end
Exactly what he dreads

Moments last forever
He wants them severed
Like with a cleaver
And get his mind together

Tomorrow may go easier
Time may pass in a blur
Tomorrow is still so far
Until then, he just Grrrs

A normal paced day
Nothing to make him gray
It would be great
For now he will pray

Off-road

Going fast, and off the track
Hoping to get my mind back
Pain and misery, are the facts
My head has me out of whack

Speeding down a one way road
Emotions building, I can't unload
Indifferent feelings have showed
Processing in the brain, has slowed

Thoughts traveling at light speed
Cranium urgently wishes to feed
Under the skull is where it needs
To seep through , but it only bleeds

Jumbling, mumbling, my voice is tumbling
Pressure inside, as things begin rumbling
Words released, crumbling and fumbling
Talking is a riddle, tripping and stumbling

Hopefully, quickly and swiftly, a remedy
Pills and needles only work moderately
Something more effective, consistently
Accurately, precisely, to save my senility

The signs are confusing
I read come a bit closer
But it seems so eluding
I can feel it shift slower

The hints don't add up
I see an inviting heart
That truly wants to love
But not wanting any part

Clues made me clueless
Pointing in your direction
Attempts have been useless
Although a deep connection

A straight line to your soul
But transparent obstacles
To be beside you is the goal
