The Emerald Ring

He stood near the ferry, as the moon shined,
Beneath the starry sky, clear, and majestic.
As he waited with bated breath, the tide,
Of memories arose steadily and galloped,
As his heart resonated his darkest fears.
He looked towards the dark path.
