I write sometimes.

Draped in rain, have come
memories which were hidden
in the dreamcatcher, slowly
making their way from its
threads and touching me
like a gentle breeze, bringing
back the ocean of emotions
I've buried deep within. I
look up at the sky to breathe
a little before diving into
the sea where love seemed
stagnant, where letters are
turning into ashes without
fire, where fireflies snatch
wishes to make their wings,
where flowers bloom from
dead dreams, and where each
word echoes something long
forgotten. I see a glimpse of
someone who looks like me,
scared yet brave, strong yet
gentle, walking on a thread.
Unraveling each thread,
I wonder, "Who's really me?
Is it her or me?"

how beautiful it is to look
at someone and see  the eternity
oozing from their eyes slowly,
engulfing you as if you are a
temple immersed  in a prayer,
the prayer that trembles you but still
pacifies each part of you to become
complete. you see nothing, but how
beautifully you are part of every alphabet of
e-t-e-r-n-i-t-y dripping from his eyes
and how he creates a bridge when
you cross an alphabet, reminding you of
love not so easy, but step-by-step you are
closer, closer to the prayer that seems ancient,
closer to the infinity that is yours for a while
and closer to the dreams where you
are a part of universe that he creates
in his rhymes.

I am the black hole that
feeds on the things around.
I am the storm that
causes havoc on the
ringed planet. I am the
hurricane that destroys
everything and, I am
the darkness that devours
the light. I run with fireflies
to snatch their share
of light, I trap the sunlight
to see the darkness eat it
alive, I tap on your
insecurities to feed my
hunger and, I write the
poems for you as if you are
mine. You look at me
and ask, "Do you love me?"
I laugh and write you a
poem that doesn't
rhyme.

Was I actually wrong?
Partially but not fully, blaming yourself won't bring peace
living with a sheltered truth won't make life an ease,
you speak truth, speak, rather than putting a cover of lies over it
tell with your heart - that they were equally wrong in it
tell them loudly that being a sky doesn't mean that you can constantly look
down upon the people living on earth,
being a star doesn't mean that the firefly is not worth,
being a flower doesn't make you right and being a
cactus is not a matter of plight
rise, scream and cry but don't hide
you were wrong then they also need to sail through the same tides.

how I once in a while
offer flowers to these
dreams so their essence
would remind me of a
part that was me -
a part that was nothing
but the whole of me the gust of wind moving across
the dream catcher hanging on
one side of the door is fetching
all my dreams of melting down
in the rings of saturn to
become one, floating into the
deep blues of Uranus like a
boat to find a new horizon

Sleepyhead dreaming about how
it would be if I was fully alive. Perhaps
I would walk in the empty roads
to find someone who was
never lost and I would scream to
that person in the hope of listening
to the words which can comfort the
utter silence within me. I would
dive into the ocean in the
hope of turning into a mermaid
who was living in the cages
of humans just because she
was afraid of being herself.
Perhaps I would be
calm to the chaos, eternity
to the evanescence,
a poem for someone's
pain or I would be darkness
so heavy that can make you
yearn for the light. I would be
a firefly who is not scared of
the bright flames
burning inside or the sky so
pretty that a kite would fight
the string to stay there for a
while. Sleepyhead dreaming
about the privilege of being
nothing
but just herself for this
one last time.
