Those wrinkled hands,
Those pale lips,
That feeble grip,
Those gummy grins,
Of three years I haven't seen,
You had held my little frame,
You had pushed me to fame,
You pulled me out from the darkness,
You poked me with your cane every morning.
But I wasn't there,
I wasn't ready,
To see you go so early,
You were to stay forever young,
We were to stay forever us,
I forgot you were human too,
I left.

The pain is wrenching my faith,
The existence of you is another excuse for me to believe in the ancient fake.

To see me fall; your devotee?
Your existence is not the question
What you do with it is.
I have seen the soil more times than i have the stars, muddy feet, knees and filthy palms.
Have you no love?
I made grief my companion for the sight of you
Yet you see this to be a selfish attitude?
