ਕੱਲ ਰਾਤੀ ਮੈ ਦੇਖੀ ਇੱਕ ਮੂਰਤ ,
ਸੀ ਹੂਬਹੂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਸੂਰਤ,
ਖੜੀ ਸੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ,
ਦੇਖ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ,
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੱਸਣੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਕੋਈ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ,

ਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਕਿਹ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ,
ਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਬੋਲ ,
ਪਰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਕੁਝ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਸੋਚ,
ਉਹ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਚੱਮਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਤੱਕ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ,
ਇੰਝ ਲਗਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਞਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਡੱਕ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ,

ਇੱਕ ਦਮ ਉਹਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੋਤੀ ਕੀਰਿਆਂ,
ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਿਲਿਆ
ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਹਿਲਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ,
ਕੁਝ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਸੱਚ ਦਰਸਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ,

ਉਹ ਬੋਲ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਕੁਝ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ
" ਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਮਹੋਬਤ ਕਦੀ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ,
ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਸਿਖਾਂ ਦੇਣਗੇਂ ,
ਆਪ ਤਾਂ ਸਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਢਿਹ ਦੇਣਗੇਂ,
ਅਫਸੋਸ ਤੂੰ ਕੀਤੀ ਮਹੋਬਤ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ,
ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੀ ਕਦੀ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਨੀ ਫੁਲ ਸੁਕੀਆਂ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ,
ਛੱਡ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ,ਨਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ,
ਹੱਲੇ ਵੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਏ ਲੈ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਮੋੜ "

ਓਹਦੇ ਇਹ ਲਫਜ਼ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਓਹਦੇ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਾਇਆ ,
ਓਹਨੇ ਵੀ ਠੀਕ ਓਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹਣਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ,
ਮੈਂ ਓਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹ ਨਾ ਪਾਈ ਪਾਵੇ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ,
ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਓਹ ਕੋਈ ਮੂਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਸ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਬੋਲ।

which is devoid of answer

you are like a solitary answer
to all my infinite questions

you are like a warmth in the shivering winters
which melts the freezing snow

you are like a brilliant light which outlines the cloud
when sun conceals behind them

you are like a cyclone created with my thoughts
which is wandering fast inside my being

you are like a cool air in the arid summers
which doesn't blow frequently

you are like smoke
which vanishes very soon

you are like twinkling stars
which attracts my eyes but they are too far

you are like a blurry picture clicked in mist
which is hard to predict

you are like a needle which lost on ground
and pricked me hard when I attempted to found

ਕਈ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਜ ਹਾਂ ਮੈ,
ਕਈ ਚੀੜੀਆ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਬਾਜ ਹਾਂ ਮੈ,
ਬੋਹਤਿਆ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਰਾਜ ਹਾਂ ਮੈ ,
ਕਈ ਸੋਹਣਿਆ ਦੇਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਬਨਤਰ ਹਾਂ ਮੈ ,
ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਹਾਂ ਮੈ ।

I have the wings but not for flight,
it is just a illusion created by eyes.

These wings want anigh to hushed sky,
but the dark cage of gender discrimination make them unable to fly.

These wings want to feel limpid glory of tranquil sky,
open this cage of gender discrimination we also want to twinkle high.

Untie these ropes of orthodox thinkings from the cradled wings,
let them free to cherish the luminous spring!!
