The wind and the rain
Smashing the terrain
Clearing away the stains
Clogging the drains
For some, soothing their pain
For others, driving them insane
Few stood at their doors and complained
And waited for the sky to be clear again
The couples went down the lane
Experiencing their love come back amain
The dry grass and the drier grain
Swayed at their thrift and gain
And as the raindrops hit my window pane
Pitter patter the drops danced into a pattern unrefrained
They activated my illusion's domain
That had become extinct in my brain
And I welcomed the rain
Feasting on home-made chowmein

Love beyond boundaries,
Relive the memories.
Despite the splits,
Everything in life fits.
With expectations nill,
The void gets filled.
The feelings remain intact
Eventhough one may not reach out for contact.
Endured in silence,
The absence marks its presence.
An affection so proximal
That just a glance seems like a breath of oxygen.
With no solidarity forever,
It still feels like staying together.

Life is the greatest teacher,
The nature seemingly silent yet the loudest preacher.
This year I did not wish anyone specifically in my periphery.
Each and everyone I have interacted has given his input in my journey so far,
To trudge through the hollows of the heart where the dark pools are,
Where love & trust itself are scarred.
Everday when the dusk and the deadly night unite,
I silently wish that may be today is my last fight,
And with the streaks of dawn
My humdrum existence might be withdrawn.
But then my teacher- the nature
Throws a new chapter
With a new lesson
which I deal with my weapons
My residual confidence and laughter.
