A SONNET FOR MY MOTHER Roseate lights govern my desolate ways, They lead my visions through brimful rue. When cold currents blur my feeble blaze, The solar warmth lends me a lustre anew. In the wondrous climes that ecstasy bear, My soul flares up like a shining coral sea. When I strike crestfallen notes of despair, The serene glow melts it into one melody. As I stare at colossal night sky brilliance, I think of how pure their gleam must be, When their source is so diviner, and hence, I pay my tribute to the becalmed energy. Glistens in my spirit the brightest flame, That light is backwards spelt her name. A sonnet for my mother, who is my inspiration. #mother

A SONNET FOR MY MOTHER
