White "Ravan's Foolishness -3" "Oh, leave me, let me go! Uma cried 😭, struggling. But Ravan went on homewards. A wandering Brahmin stopped him midway! Do you know who the Brahmin was? Lord Vishnu! "Oh, why are you towing that old hag on your shoulders? the Brahmin inquired politely. "Old hag? What? Ravan asked confused. "Yes, said the Brahmin, "I thought that normally you were interested in only the most beautiful females." You must be as blind as a bat, said Ravan arrogantly, otherwise you would have recognised that this is Uma, the most beautiful of all Goddesses. See for yourself, said the Brahmin mockingly. He flipped Uma down and gasped. Smart Uma! Hearing the Brahmin's words, she switched herself by magic into an ugly old hag! "Yea! Ravan released her snarling. "Phooey! Go away, ugly, horrible woman. Shoooo!" Uma needed no second call! She ran right away! All the way to Kailash and Lord Shiva! Ravan had been fooled yet again! "Well, I have the Lingam at least!" Ravan consoled.
