White SOMETHING I LOOK AT-385 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY You called me first but I came late, A hesitant reaction, cold as fate. The summer sun and winter rain, Made the flower wilt in pain. But on a spring morning, bright and clear, Golden petals of love drew near. Under the sky, so vast and blue, I fell for the flower—pure and true. My love for it knew no worldly claim, No fleeting passion, no selfish aim. I longed to see it dance with ease, In the cool breeze of eternal peace. But the flower turned its gaze away, Chasing my shadow at the break of day. Why seek the lifeless, void of grace, When vibrant beauty stood in place? And then it vanished from my view, Leaving me caught, unsure what’s true. In Trishanku's heaven, I linger and yearn, Hoping the flower, one day, will return. I hope one day you’ll open the gate, And let my vision seal its fate. I trust in my love, pure and true, To see you once more before life bids adieu. She caught me One day my sneaking around Had me caught red handed I was sure I hid the clues, but Not according to how she reacted One day I began thinking Eight years is a long time Perfect together no doubt She would be a great wife Two months before our anniversary I bought a ring on the fourth It would be a surprise In two months of course A month went by and all is fine We are sitting in the kitchen She said "I'll be right back, I'll get the mail from the den" She had a smirk on her face I didn't quite understand She laughed a little bit And sat the mail on the stand She looked right at me and cried "I can't believe you spent A thousand dollars last month, That gives our savings a big dent" I forgot we shared that account The records were there clear I had to come up with a reason Or my plan will fail I feared She started flailing and wailing I thought I was in for it But halfway into her lecture She became emotional a bit She leaned over to my side And whispered "nice try" She said "yes, yes, yes, yes, I would love to be your bride" My plans had been foiled But on the positive side Though the cat was out of the bag I knew she would be forever mine ©Schizology She caught me #Caught #story❤ #poem✍🧡🧡💛 love story quotes on love love love quotes
