SOMETHING I LOOK AT-314 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY Do you know what do you mean to me? You are my world, yes, my whole world where, with you, I live solely, share my moments, emotions and feelings which I can never share with anybody. It is our exclusive zone where none, even the sun and moon have ever ventured to come in I know where I am Do you know where you are? You are deep inside my heart breathing my life without whom I am just a living body devoid of life, zest and glee and all the finer things that make life worth living Is there any difference between you and me? I am just you in another form and you are only a different me Whenever you do anything, I feel as if I am doing it. Whenever you are in pain I feel and endure it, whenever you are nice and fine I rejoice with your joy and happiness. Hope you may be feeling the same We may not be for each other But we live in each other. Tell me, which is more gratifying, staying together or being in each other? A single entity we are, divided into two for a purpose Again we will be one. Till then let us live and breathe for each other feeling each other's feelings, agony and ecstasy as one's own Always in you forever Smruti Ranjan Mohan ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #snowmountain SOMETHING I LOOK AT-314 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY Do you know what do you mean to me? SOMETHING I LOOK AT-315 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY When I see your presence, my heart dances, my lips smile, joy knows no bounds and I land in the heaven of your beauty and grace When I do not find you I search for you here and there. If I fail to see you despite my frantic search I feel sad and darkness descends snatching away the last smile on my face If you would have known how painful is waiting you would never have made me wait for days and hours to silently sip my tears and anxiety in agony and pain Don't make my heart rate go up Don't let me feel my pulse all over My ageing body and mind may find it too much to withstand and endure I do not need anything Your presence will make my day Cheer and happiness will dance in my arteries and veins. The old man will become young once again Smruti Ranjan Mohanty ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #swiftbird SOMETHING I LOOK AT-315 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY When I see your presence, my heart dances, my lips smile, joy knows no bounds a

SOMETHING I LOOK AT-234 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY DAYS AFTER-30 Are you feeling lonely Sad and melancholic Apathetic towards What is happening? That is part of the game. When you withdraw from the centre stage When the idea creeps into mind that You are no more in a position to deliver You feel defeated and alienated. In a world of give and take You feel out of place The problem with you You have never looked beyond office, Family and relationships. The whole of your life has been spent In taking care of a significant few Their whims and fancies. For the first time You are for yourself You are with yourself. Do you need anyone else Can anybody be a better friend In the parade of naked self-interests? Instead of writing poetry In agony and strife Awake to the reality Still, you have plenty of life Be the way you want to be Live the way you like. A goal pursued A desire nurtured An ambition accomplished A Moment with your love and Waiting for that moment Is what life is A space to sand on A handful of sky over A memory to hang on A past to lean upon A present to live for A future to look forward to Is what life is. A look at light in darkness A smile in tears A hope in despair and frustration A will to move on against all odds A desire to live and let live Is what life is Living beyond pair of opposites Sorrow and happiness Love and betrayal Agony and ecstasy Yesterday and tomorrow Is what life is Smruti Ranjan Mohanty© India 29.12. 2021 https://smrutiweb.wordpress.com/2021/12/30/is-what-life-is/ https://smrutitanuja.blogspot.com/2021/12/a-look-at-life-165.html ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #CrescentMoon A LOOK AT LIFE-165 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY A smile A petty wish A little craving A dream A passion lovingly groomed

SOMETHING I LOOK AT-219 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY DAYS AFTER-15 Living is as much a mental phenomenon As a physical one Man lives in the present So also in his past and future One lives more in dreams More with his memory Than anything else One recreates and relives The moments of the past time and again His mind goes back To the glorious moments of the bygone days Where he gets lost in the beauty of the events Of which he was a part once His past repeatedly appears Before his mind's eye and takes him miles away The dream of future Keeps one's hope alive Wipes away his distress and agony Makes his present more bearable Assuring better days to come by Happiness depends upon one's ability To feel and relive the best moments of his life The beautiful happenings of yesterday In visualising a better tomorrow And getting lost in colourful dreams The beauty of the past The ability to recreate the moments The dreams of a fascinating future Substantially determine one's present Happiness is but a state of mind Depends largely on one's proficiency To recreate and relive the moments One cherishes the most And living in dreams Feeling these to be part of the reality Go down the memory lane Feel your intense moments Nicest of relationships you ever had Your past will reincarnate And you will feel Its beauty and warmth once again Smruti Ranjan Mohanty ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #Blossom SOMETHING I LOOK AT-219 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY DAYS AFTER-15 Living is as much a mental phenomenon As a physical one Man liv

SOMETHING I LOOK AT-143 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY LET ME LIVE MY TODAY No yesterday, no tomorrow, It is today and I am here. With all my grace and vigour, Agony, ecstasy and fervour I will live, enjoy and endure. Doesn't matter How fascinating my past was, How promising my future will be, I am always with me, With the moments I live It is the moment that matters. Today is my reality, I will live it with all my smile and tear However sad and pathetic may be, Today is mine, exclusively mine, To be accepted with ease. I have no escape, But to accept it as it is. I can't lose sight of me And bask in the golden sunshine Or lose me in colourful dreams. If I am to accept something Why not with a smile on lips? I am here With all my happiness and sorrow. Better to have my cup of tea, Rather brooding over the past, Dead and gone, Or dreaming and living ahead of time On which I have hardly any control. A LOOK AT LIFE-139 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY With a cell phone in hand, mind and heart I considered myself to be the king of the world Lived the way I wished Living and socialising with it all the while I moved along nicely with my friend Without paying any heed to those Who had so much to say Moved in the air Talked over phone Never needed anyone near To share my feelings and emotions What's app, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Became my priority Hardly I got any quality time to share With my family, love and life Cheers, accolades, pelf, power And recognition came in abundance I accomplished what I desired But missed life to the very end All left me one by one Till I found myself half dead Languishing in a lonely lane None was with me Except my old cell phone mocking at me I spoke to my cell phone But it failed to understand the language of the heart It could not read my feelings and emotions My agony and ecstasy, my love and tears I turned to a human face But to my utter disappointment found none Desperately longed for that human touch Which I never cared for over the years My beautiful gadgets were of no use They miserable failed to understand What I meant to convey The machine could not a read human heart I was dying for a relationship Which a human heart could only understand Desperate for that human touch Which only a human being has I lived for myself Where others had very little say By the time I needed them They were engrossed in themselves Had their own life to live and dreams to dream None was having time for me I became an unwanted necessity I was paid back in my coins By the time I realised It was all over I started crying hard Only to find someone patting my back She was none else but my loving wife I got up to realise I was dreaming only I relaxed a little It was a dream only, a bad dream I was awakened to realise The difference between the reality And my dream is very thin The signal is clear Enough is enough I have to change myself Before it is too late And I reach a point of no return From where it is not easy to come back again Smruti Ranjan Mohanty© 21.9.2020 All Copyrights Reserved smrutiweb.wordpress.com smrutitanuja.blogspot.com https://www.facebook.com/titutiku/ Picture-google ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #yaadein A LOOK AT LIFE-139 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY With a cell phone in hand, mind and heart I considered myself to be the king of the
