।। ओ३म् ।। आविः सन्निहितं गुहाचरं नाम महत् पदमत्रैतत्‌ समर्पितम्‌। एजत् प्राणन्निमिषच्च यदेतज्जानथ सदस-द्वरेण्यं परं विज्ञानाद्यद्वरिष्ठं प्रजानाम्‌ ॥ स्वयं आविर्भूत परम तत्त्व यहाँ सन्निहित है, यह हृद्गुहा में विचरने वाला महान् पद है, इसमें ही यह सब समर्पित है जो गतिमान् है, प्राणवान् है तथा जो दृष्टिमान् है। यह जो यही महान् पद है, उसको ही 'सत्' तथा 'असत्' जानो, जो परम वरेण्य है, महत्तम एवं 'सर्वोच्च' (वरिष्ठ) है, तथा जो प्राणियों (प्रजाओं) के ज्ञान से परे है। Manifested, it is here set close within, moving in the secret heart, this is the mighty foundation and into it is consigned all that moves and breathes and sees. ।। ओ३म् ।। उद्गीतमेतत्परमं तु ब्रह्म तस्मिंस्त्रयं सुप्रतिष्ठाऽक्षरं च। अत्रान्तरं ब्रह्मविदो विदित्वा लीना ब्रह्मणि तत्परा योनिमुक्ताः॥ उपनिषदों में स्पष्ट रूप से परम ब्रह्म की घोषणा की गयी है। यह त्रिपक्षीय है। यह सुदृढ़ आश्रय तथा अविनाशी है। इसके आन्तरिक सारतत्व को जानकर वेदज्ञ ऋषि उसमें लीन हो गये और जन्म से मुक्त हो गये। This is expressly declared to be the Supreme Brahman. In that is the triad. It is the firm support, and it is the imperishable. Knowing the inner essence of this, the knowers of Veda become devoted to Brahman, merge themselves in It, and are released from birth.
