JAI HIND SOMETHING I LOOK AT-109 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY ABHINANDAN Life is all about that moment, for which one lives his whole life, the moment that lifts him, his surrounding and the entire nation to unknown heights That moment comes in the life of a few with whom the whole nation identifies, for whom life has never been a coward's adventure, always a hero's worship in moments of peace and war, prosperity and adversity. That moment comes in his life, who carries on his shoulder the nation, its hopes, dreams and identity, for whom the nation is the only priority, much above love, life, and relationship, pelf, power, family and friendship, appreciation, recognition, misery and hardship. How it feels when the whole nation waits for the hero to arrive? how it feels when one occupies each and every ones mind, thoughts and feelings? how it feels when the nation gives a standing ovation, heart and soul dance in joy and ecstasy when the son of the soil arrives? Is anything more fulfilling than this? does anything stand in comparison and worth this? A hero is a hero, even in the enemy's camp for him nothing but national interest matters. Whatever may be the situation, whoever in front hardly matters, he never loses his poise and stands like a rock. The nation salutes the heroes, whose breath and blood, heart and mind dream, desire and wish are for the nation. Their lives are poetries of dedication, who for us sacrifice their lives and comforts sleep and dream, fancy and wish to let us breathe and relax in peace. Is it not our duty to find the soldier in us, stand by the nation and our brothers and sisters guarding the frontier day and night in sun and shower fighting against hope and despair? SOMETHING I LOOK AT-26 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY How far away i am from me and my dreams miles and miles away my childhood those glorious days and fascinating nights mother's lap and father's shadow the scenic beauty of nature and fulfilling life Gone are the days of carefree life and blissful living gone is the world of fairies and ghosts no more i feel on my head father's hand and mother's touch no more i hear that raining sound in the distant forest no more i look forward to life and its beauty no more i play with paper boats And sail across my dream world To feel life, its warmth and colours I long for those moments the chill winter night the symphony of ceaseless rain the never ending stories of grandpa the flavour of moist soil sweet aroma of wild flowers and long bare footed walk to the school under the scorching heat of sun and shower I cherish that carefree and contented life the limitless joy i had when i shared whatever little i had with each and everyone die for those moments which we lived for each other showering our love and affection expecting nothing in return With lantern light no means of communication and very little to spend life was difficult yet so captivating and full of colours With all the comforts and luxuries how futile and meaningless today's life is with no time for self love and reciprocation i feel alien to myself and look for that real i, the innocent child lost somewhere in childhood and its innocence copyright @ smruti ranjan 16.2.17 ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #MountainPeak SOMETHING I LOOK AT-26 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY How far away i am from me and my dreams miles and miles away my childhood tho

SOMETHING I LOOK AT-198 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY THE COUNTDOWN-24 Days and years went by It seems as if it was yesterday When a young guy on his bicycle With an umbrella in hand Began his journey in pursuit of a life That eluded his grasp till then A man in the full bloom of youth With dreams in his eyes Put his first steps on the corridor of power Reasonably dissatisfied with himself With the decree of fate Knowing well there was a wide gap between What he accomplished and what he deserved Made the biggest compromise of life and Opted for something For which he is neither made for Not best suited Only to make both ends meet To find a little earth and sky over For all those he loved Whose future was more important than His longings and fancies Began a new life Hoping all the colours on the way Only found a family to support and Marriage to take care of. The quest for divine romance Ended in a romance in the material plane As the necessities of life took over Spirituality receded to a silent corner Things changed So also people and their attitude Comforts came crowding Opened new avenues of life Only to take him away from the reality His first love in the lap of which He has spent the best of his life Now it is all over The man in the sixty Finds himself where he was long before. Now he is to start afresh Whether he will fall in love with his first love Or miss it once again Only time will say Smruti Ranjan Mohanty ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #Hum SOMETHING I LOOK AT-198 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY THE COUNTDOWN-24 Days and years went by It seems as if it was yesterday When a you

That 16 pairs crossing wooden bridge, Singing and dancing like some midge . Golden rays garnishing those lovely petals, Veins are flourishing that edible sepals. Trunk spreading colours like fountain, Little ants were enjoying to climb mountain. Gushing of river under that lane, Oh! This lovely weather, all because of rain. ©PRIYANSHI MITTAL #Ray #rain #Forest #Nature #musings #Poetry #poem #Nojoto #creature #nojotostreaks
