White A LOOK AT LIFE-5 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY Oh God! let me have a pair of wings to fly down the past, where I could not live but cherished all along. Let me have a pair of eyes to look and appreciate, all that is beautiful and romantic, the smile of a child to the scenic beauty of the earth, the bewitching looks of a girl in her teens to the dainty cheeks of a newlywed. Let me have a heart to feel and reciprocate love in all its colours, beauty in all its forms, that I sadly missed over the years Let me have a mind, that never roams and hangs on to the object of love, so fulfilling and beautiful in this world of glamours copyright@smruti ranjan 6.6.2015 All rights reserved ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #flowers A LOOK AT LIFE-5 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY Oh God! let me have a pair of wings to fly down the past, where I could not live b

"Unspoken Depths" Let words flow, emotions show. Eyes speak when voice is low. Not all needs to be expressed, A gaze can convey the rest. In this depth of emotions vast, Hide some things, some meant to last. Understand some things unsaid, Clearly express what needs to be read. Calm the clashing waves within, Hand in hand, let's journey begin. Seek answers, don't stray from the road, In actions, find your life's code. Control the mind, let reason reign, Seize the moment, cast away pain. ©Santosh Jangam #Poem The poem emphasizes the importance of unspoken communication and taking action to achieve life's goals.

"Woman - An Embodiment of Power" Each step she takes, a testament to her power, Wisdom flows from her like a boundless shower. Her heart, vast and serene, a guiding light, In her spirit, freedom takes its flight. Her voice, a melody that resonates strong, Her will, unyielding, against all wrong. A modern woman, forging ahead with grace, Every challenge met, she bravely face. Motherhood's love, a force divine, Strength and compassion in every line. With a heart as vast as the endless sky, She conquers all with a resolute eye. From dawn to dusk, her work never ends, A sculptor of life, where love transcends. ©Santosh Jangam #poem The moral of the poem is to celebrate and acknowledge the empowerment, strength, and contributions of women in society.

**"Tranquil Tempest "** Restless mind, body seeks calm, Each moment besieged, peace is a balm. Thoughts whirl, storms within, Seeking solace, where to begin? Yearning for peace, shackles bound tight, Past moments haunt, future's plight. Taming the mind, a fleeting quest, Breath held in fear, heart in unrest. Lost in the maze, footsteps stray, Body weary, soul in disarray. Restless mind, seeking repose, In the storm's eye, tranquility rose. ©Santosh Jangam #poem The moral of the poem "Tranquil Tempest" is to find inner peace amidst life's chaos.

"One - Sided Dream" Never seen her face, and yet, My heart aches with a deep regret. Why must these one-sided dreams, Haunt my with unseen beams? Her eyes hold no arrows for me, The distance remains eternally. Why can't I bridge this unseen maze? My oblivious hands lose their daze. No music fills the air with glee, The vast sky fades from me. Why can't such companionship exist? Leaving my heart with an aching fist. Lost in these fantasies I roam, Forever a stranger in this dream-like home. Why must these unfulfilled desires, Burn like embers, fanned by hidden fires? The world feels distant, cold, and vast, A stranger I stand, forever outcast. Why must this pain, a relentless tide, In the caverns of my heart reside? ©Santosh Jangam #poem The poem explores the pain of unrequited love and the importance of facing reality. It suggests that true connection requires communic

White SOMETHING I LOOK AT-159 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY LET ME SILENTLY WITHER AWAY Before someone tells me it is time and I must quit, let me leave the centre stage making space for someone more fit. Before they stop talking, let me talk to myself, listen to my voice, make me my best friend, Let me learn to keep quiet. With no takers to what I say, let me value the beauty of silence and remain within myself Let me silently wither away I know am not of any use to anyone, don't have enough strength and will to carry on my shoulder someone else. Let me accept the reality Neither I can help nor accept, nor can I teach and advise or listen to someone's idiocy and high handedness Before the world leaves me where I have been, let me withdraw from all that I loved, endured and fancied more than my love and life. Let me not forget I am still alive and someone needs me. We are to live the last part of life with ease and dignity Let me be with my love who carried my smile and tears, love and frustration over the years without caring for her own She can not see me reduced to a nonentity, a man without dreams. Let me live till I am alive with passion and dignity If not for me For someone who loves me, for whom I am larger than life and relationship.
