White I loved a girl with all my heart, We built a world that fell apart. We dreamt of staying side by side, To clear exams, to share the ride. We spoke of travels, a future bright, Of holding hands through every fight. But she’s gone, we’re far away, I’m left with words I didn’t say. I cry when songs of love appear, Each lyric pulls her memory near. I see her face in every place, The temples, the streets, her gentle grace. Last night, a dream took hold of me, Her life appeared as it used to be. I saw her smile in a photo new, And with a boy, the world saw too. The comments cheered, her joy was bright, They wished her love, they wished her light. My heart broke, but I smiled, For her happiness made it worthwhile. My heart broke, I smiled through tears, As she’s happy, despite my fears. Boy stood with her, right by her side, Her smile was warm, my tears I’d hide. Dreams didn't stop; they twist and turn, To places where my heart burns. I found myself in a sanctuary wide, With birds and lakes, beauty every side. And there she was, with friends around, But it was her, my heart had found. We saw each other, and time stood still, An impulse stronger than any will. We hugged so tight and for so long, A moment where nothing felt wrong. Our tears fell freely, we didn’t speak, Her warmth was all I wished to keep. I wished the world would let us stay, In that embrace, to drift away. But just like life, the dream had its way, She left again, like that first day. I woke up crying, her hug still there, Her scent, her touch, it felt so near. And one thought stayed as morning came, A silent wish I couldn’t tame. If we meet again, by some mistake, In a street, a temple or by a lake, I hope she smiles, just once for me, I hope she’s kind, I hope she’s free.
